Atlanta Hawks big man Bruno Fernando has pushed back his guarantee date for a second time. After originally pushing his date back from June 29 to July 10, Fernando has now moved his date back to August 1.
As of now, if Fernando remains on Atlanta’s roster past August 1, his contract will become fully guaranteed for just over $2.7 million.
This move gives Fernando a greater chance of sticking on the Hawks roster. Atlanta has roster decisions to make, as they’ve got 16 players on standard contracts. The Hawks acquired four players in the trade that sent Dejounte Murray to the New Orleans Pelicans. Atlanta also recently agreed to a new contract with Vit Krejci.
