The Atlanta Hawks have decided not to extend the $8.5 million qualifying offer to Saddiq Bey, which will make him an unrestricted free agent. Bey suffered a torn ACL last season, putting his status for the 24-25 season in doubt. The Hawks have luxury tax concerns as they enter a reset of their roster.
The Hawks acquired Bey at the 2023 trade deadline from the Detroit Pistons. In 63 games last season, Bey averaged 13.7 points, 6.5 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 32.7 minutes.
Bey is represented by Jordan Gertler and James Dunleavy.
