The Atlanta Hawks are expected to put center Clint Capela on the trade block this summer. The Hawks have Onyeka Okongwu starting a four-year extension this coming season. Atlanta could also draft big man Alex Sarr with the first overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft.
Capela has one season remaining on his contract at $22.3 million for 2024-25. He’s also just turned 30 years old, which makes him one of the older players on the Hawks roster.
The Switzerland native averaged 11.5 points, 10.6 rebounds and 1.5 blocks last season. That was Capela’s seventh consecutive season averaging a points-rebounds double-double.
