Dan Hurley recently did an interview that mostly about his decision to not take the Los Angeles Lakers head coach job. However, in that process, Hurley dropped some 2024 NBA Draft intel.
When the UConn coach was asked who he talked to for advice about jumping to the NBA, he rattled off a long list. One of the people Hurley said he talked to was Atlanta Hawks coach Quin Snyder.
“Quin Snyder is a really smart guy who, I know that they (the Atlanta Hawks) really like Donovan (Clingan), so I was able to kind of talk to them about Donovan, but then also to pick his brain in large part,” Hurley said.
The Hawks hold the first overall pick in the draft. Donovan Clingan has mostly been mocked somewhere in the range of the third to seventh picks. However, recent reports have given some momentum to Clingan potentially being selected first or second overall.
