The first reported camp body.
With the lack of recent transaction news, the Hawks look as though they have settled on their roster that will head into the 2024-25 NBA season — barring, of course, a late offseason trade. And so, the Hawks seem to be turning their attention towards filling out the training camp roster.
Billy Reinhardt brought us the news that the Hawks would be signing rising second-year forward Joey Hauser to an Exhibit 10 contract — a report later confirmed by Brad Rowland of the Locked on Hawks podcast.
Free agent forward Joey Hauser is signing a one-year Exhibit 10 deal with the Atlanta Hawks, sources say.

Hauser, the younger brother of recently extended Boston Celtic Sam, joins the Hawks as the team seeks more shooting at every position. Hauser spent the entirety of last regular season in the G League on a two-way contract last season after coming into the league in 2023. In 50 games with the Ontario Clippers, Hauser averaged 7.1 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 1.0 assists on 44% shooting from the field and 37% shooting from three (per RealGM).
With this Exhibit 10 contract, should Hauser make the team out of training camp, it will pay him either the equivalent of an unguaranteed minimum contract in 2024-25 or his deal can get unilaterally converted into a two-way contract (something that would require waiving one of Seth Lundy, Keaton Wallace or Dominick Barlow).
Most likely, however, Hauser will be waived prior to opening day. He can earn a small bonus should he join the College Park Skyhawks for a short period of time after that point.
