Griffin was drafted by the Hawks 16th overall in the 2022 NBA Draft as a one-and-done prospect out of Duke. In his rookie season, he averaged 8.9 points, 2.1 rebounds, and 1.0 assists in 19.5 minutes per game while appearing in 72 contests. But last season, injuries and personal issues made for a lack of on court impact, who was eventually buried on the depth chart even after returning from a long spell away from the team.
He’ll now look to reboot his NBA career in a new destination in Houston. Atlanta will now have a selection to make in just a few hours in the 2024 NBA Draft.
