This is certainly a transaction that happened.
Since the Dejounte Murray trade that brought in Dyson Daniel, Larry Nance Jr., EJ Liddell and Cody Zeller, it’s been a fairly quiet free agency period for the Atlanta Hawks. But following a summer in which Liddell was a late add to Atlanta’s 2024 Las Vegas Summer League roster, they’ve decided to part ways with the third-year forward in exchange for another third-year forward.
Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN broke the news about the Hawks acquiring David Roddy.

Roddy is a 6-foot-4 forward who has averaged 6.6 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 1.0 assists in 135 career NBA games in his first two seasons in the league. A rather short and stout basketball player for his position, he’ll look to find a spot in Atlanta’s rotation for his unique game in the coming days.
