Grant Holmes looks to continue his spring success against the Tiger
The Atlanta Braves take on the Detroit Tigers in North Port, FL for a spring home game in which potential rising star Grant Holmes looks to continue his strong performance.
Holmes has made two appearances thus far this spring and has done well. In his limited 5.0 innings, he has limited hitters to a 0.80 WHIP and 1.80 ERA while garnering four strikeouts and limiting hitters to a .118 average. Of course, the chance of him keep these rate stats this low are slim, but he seems to be on his way to earning a rotation spot.
The Braves’ offense will face off against reigning World Series champ, Jack Flaherty. He has only pitched 2.0 innings thus far this spring, so there is even less data to go off of than Grant Holmes, but he has kept hitters to a .167 average in these two innings.
With it being a home game for the Braves, it could have been expected that we would see a decent amount of names that will probably be in the opening day lineup.
The first pitch is at 1:05 eastern and can be streamed for free on MLB.com. For those who prefer radio, it can be listened to on WIFN 1340 AM/103.7FM
