The start of Sunday’s game between the Braves and Nationals has been delayed
It wouldn’t be a series in Washington without a good old fashioned rain delay. Updates to follow

Pretty sure this rain delay is for Mark Bowman
Pretty sure the tarp is “on the field” more today than it was during the three-hour delay here on July 7, 2017 pic.twitter.com/3G0jtAjS5A

No rain yet, but we do have wind apparently
Nats say the start of today’s game will be delayed due to an inclement weather system in the area. The wind has really kicked up here in recent minutes.

They are apparently thinking about putting the tarp on the field.
They’ve “put the tarp on the field” pic.twitter.com/q27aEOfDCI

Per Stephen, they did in fact put the tarp on the infield.
There appears to be a line of storms moving into the Washington area.
Skies are darkening over Nationals Park.

Bowman will never let it go.
Skittles must have ended their partnership because the tarp wasn’t used frequently enough during delays pic.twitter.com/lTdPvdtgON

Good thing they got the tarp out though.
they’re better be heavier stuff coming cause the amount of rain that’s fallin here wouldn’t water a house plant

The tarp is coming off the field. Should have baseball soon.
Good news: They are removing the tarp.
Better news: They don’t need to remove any water off the tarp.Things have really gotten better around here since July 7, 2017 pic.twitter.com/b6ByongC1t
