The Atlanta Braves announced Friday that left-hander Aaron Bummer was unfortunately placed on the bereavement list. To take his spot, the club recalled righty Zach Thompson.

Thompson made an appearance during Friday’s matchup with the Tampa Bay Rays, tossing 1.1 scoreless innings.
As for Bummer, he and his family will be in our thoughts and prayers.

The San Diego Padres placed infielder Jake Cronenworth on the 10-day injured list due to a rib fracture. The move is retroactive to April 9.
The Kansas City Royals placed right-hander Hunter Harley on the 15-day injured list due to a shoulder strain. The club has not yet announced a timetable for his return.
