Atlanta Braves news and notes from Friday
Last night was a rare sight, indeed — at least as far as this season is concerned. The Atlanta Braves ended up cruising to a victory, on the road, in the NL West, no less. Indeed, this looked more like the Braves that we’re used to seeing in Cobb County — especially considering that they had a big eighth inning on their way to victory.
However, there’s one thing that happened that assures me that in these turbulent times of change and upheaval, one thing remains the same: Jesse Chavez pitched an inning for the Atlanta Braves. A solid rock in the midst of a storm.
