The Braves get a big win north of the border.
On Monday, leading up to the start of the game against the Blue Jays, it was revealed that Marcell Ozuna was dealing with a hip injury, which obviously was not the best news to start the week. The Braves made it seem minor, and that he was considered day-to-day, which was a bit of positive. However, for a team in need of wins, losing their best bat was not ideal.
However, the Braves offense as a whole has a been a bit better as of late, and Sean Murphy and Austin Riley made sure that continued on Monday. Both Riley and Murphy went deep in a big win over the Blue Jays, offering hope that power is once again a strength of the Braves. And with Spencer Schwellenbach and Spencer Strider rounding out the series over the next few days, the win hopefully can light the spark that ignite the Braves to turn this early season around.
