Keith Law of the Athletic dropped his farm system rankings on Thursday, and the Atlanta Braves have dropped a couple spots since his rankings in February 2024. Law now has Atlanta in the lowest tier, taking the 28th spot in terms of farm system strength. He has the Seattle Mariners atop the list. Check out his full list here.

Right-hander Max Scherzer agreed to a one-year, $15.5M deal with the Toronto Blue Jays. There are no deferrals included in the contract.
The New York Mets have officially announced their one-year, $4.5M deal with reliever Ryne Stanek. In a corresponding move, the club designated right-hander Dylan Covey for assignment.
The Cincinnati Reds made their one-year deal with Austin Hays official.
The San Diego Padres finalized their one-year, $3.5M deal with catcher Elias DÍaz.
The Athletics acquired catcher Jhonny Pereda from the Miami Marlins in exchange for cash considerations. The Marlins designated him for assignment earlier this week.
The Seattle Mariners and infielder Jorge Polanco agreed to a one-year, $7.75M deal. Polanco is expected to take over at third base this season.
