The Braves franchise and fanbase says goodbye to Rico Carty.
Former Braves outfielder Rico Carty passed away at the age of 85 on Sunday. Carty was a very productive and popular outfielder during his time in Atlanta, which included the lone All-Star appearance in his career. He batted .366 that same year, winning the batting title and producing the highest single-season batting average mark for a Braves player since 1930. A well-known name among Braves fans for generations, Carty will certainly be missed.
