Atlanta Braves news and notes from Saturday
Since we’re all waiting on something to happen, I’m just gonna say that if there was ever a free agent to diverge from the franchise MO for, it would be for Juan Soto right now. He is still very young and likely to be good for most of his (enormous) contract, making the length and size perhaps more palatable. He would very easily slot into left field, where there isn’t a clear occupant for the Braves. It would also add another much-needed lefty bat into the lineup and an absolutely top tier one with tremendous power and on-base ability. I really think the Braves should make a legitimate attempt to sign Soto.
