Atlanta Braves news and notes from Saturday
Well we are no longer waiting on the Braves to make a notable move, so that’s fun. They signed Jurickson Profar to a deal below his projections in an offseason when so many deals have been larger than the projections. Their patience may have paid off, as painful as it was to watch. They likely aren’t done, however, as they could conceivably add a starting pitcher, a shortstop, and/or a reliever. We did get a rumor on a reliever today

MLB.com’s Mark Bowman reported that the Braves and Cubs are among teams interested in high-velo right-handed reliever Ryne Stanek.

Jose Altuve is apparently attempting to be accommodating to keep Alex Bregman in Houston, but apparently isn’t expecting a reunion.
Neither Luis Garcia nor Lance McCullers is expected to be ready to pitch Opening Day for the Astros, but both seem to be progressing well.
