
A busy Monday for the Braves
Monday was a busy day for the Braves. Spencer Strider made his Spring debut and was absolutely dominant, a performance better than anyone could have imagined. While that may have been unexpected, Atlanta confirmed the expected in naming Chris Sale the 2025 Opening Day starter.
And that was just in the morning into the early afternoon.

The Braves signed veteran catcher James McCann to a minor league deal. This followed earlier transactions in the day in which Sandy Leon was reassigned from the main squad and Curt Casali was released.
Another surprising move was lefty reliever Angel Perdomo being traded to the Angels. Many thought Perdomo would be a member of the Braves bullpen, but instead he will begin 2025 with the Angels.
