Braves continue to shuffle the pitching staff.
In a bit of a surprise move, the Braves optioned left-handed reliever Ray Kerr to AAA Gwinnett following their double-header split on Monday.

The Braves continue their rotation shuffling after a rainout and subsequent double-header have complicated their pitching plans this week, along with having zero off-days coming up. And they’re likely not done.
Kerr has been a tremendous weapon out of the bullpen since arriving in Atlanta a few weeks ago, posting a 2.89 ERA in almost 10 innings of work with 10 strikeouts and zero walks. In some ways, Kerr was the victim of his own success. After Bryce Elder got lit up by the Padres on Sunday Night baseball, Kerr came in and threw 3 innings of relief to save the bullpen from too much work with a double-header on deck. Often times that work is immediately rewarded with being sent down for a fresh arm, which is where Kerr found himself Monday night.
The Braves just felt like they needed a fresh arm the next few days. Kerr threw 3+ IP yesterday and Wednesday. https://t.co/aHiBytDDBc

We’ll see him again in Atlanta soon enough. He’s too good to stay down long.
