Could more moves happen for the Braves this week?
As we move another week closer to pitchers and catchers reporting across baseball, Sunday brought with it a reminder that trades across MLB will continue to shape the offseason. The Cubs traded for All-Star reliever Ryan Pressly from the Astros to help bolster their bullpen. This move shows that teams around baseball are continuing to look at ways to impact payroll for 2025. It also proves that the trade market could be the route to go to find the right arm to improve a team’s pitching staff.
And with the success that Alex Anthopoulos has had in recent years finding both staters and relievers via the trade market. that could be the next move for the Braves. If an arm becomes available at a reasonable price, perhaps Atlanta will make the move to feel another need for 2025.
