The veteran lefty reliever will also get an invite to Spring Training.
The Braves signed a familiar name to a minor league deal on Monday, as lefty reliever Chasen Shreve will return to organization for the first time in a decade.

Shreve made his MLB debut with the Braves in 2014. He was traded to the Yankees in the trade that brought Manny Banuleos to the Braves. Oddly enough, despite throwing just 12 1⁄3 innings that year, it is his most productive season in the majors to date per Fan Graphs. However, Shreve has pitched in every season since then, though he threw only one inning for Colorado in 2024. Overall, Shreve has a 3.96 ERA and 4.68 FIP (4.25 xFIP) across 357 innings in his career.
Shreve has thrown over 50 innings in a season just once since 2018, and his last positive fWAR season was 2023 with 0.2 WAR. He is another move to add organizational depth to place of need in the bullpen for the Braves. He will be one of many arms in Spring Training for the Braves when pitchers and catchers report in a few weeks.
