It’s getting nasty in Minneapolis!
The Atlanta Braves are currently up 9-1 on the Minnesota Twins heading into the bottom of the second inning. The baseball gods have decided that this was too much offense for the Braves to have in one game, so Target Field is currently the, well, target of a very nasty storm system.

UPDATE (9:04 p.m. ET): Well, looks like the rain has slowed down and the tarp is coming off soon, so there’s that. According to Kevin McAlpin on the Braves Radio Network, the field has taken on a serious amount of water so we’re still a decent wait away from this game getting started back up.

UPDATE (9:23 p.m. ET): It’s looking like Max Fried is going to go back out there for the restart. There was some speculation that they wanted to get him back out there despite the long layoff and that appears to be the case.
Max Fried jogged to the outfield and entered the visiting bullpen. He is warming up.
