The outfielder showed some of his pop, hitting the ball well on multiple occasions.
With almost exclusively players expected to be on the Opening Day roster in the lineup and on the mound, the first inning went fairly well. Dylan Lee recorded a strikeout in a 1-2-3 frame, Profar just missed a homer, and Olson drew a walk. The score was 0-0, but there were some promising signs. Dylan Lee wasn’t quite as efficient in the second, giving up a couple of hits and striking out former Braves’ top prospect Christian Bethancourt. He got a little help from a fantastic defensive play from none other than Jurickson Profar, which is not the primary reason that Atlanta signed him, but could be a nice bonus if he keeps doing things like this.

Michael Harris II reached on a ground ball single before Ozzie Albies grounded into a double-play in the home second. Bryan De La Cruz pulled a nice line drive single following Harris, before Orlando Arcia hit a routine flyout. Profar and Riley each hit into decent contact outs in the third, after Enyel De Los Santos pitched a clean top of the inning for Atlanta on three contact outs. Chad Kuhl recorded a scoreless fourth with some traffic for Atlanta, but struggled in the fifth, issuing two walks and a single that eventually resulted int he first run of the game for Toronto.
De La Cruz got another line drive hit in the fifth and moved to second when Curt Casali was hit by a pitch. Jurickson Profar loaded the bases as he turned an 0-2 count into a walk, but ultimately Austin Riley grounded out to end the inning empty-handed for Atlanta.
As the Braves shuffled out their starters, Buck Farmer got the seventh inning and struck out three of Toronto’s depth batters, with one walk mixed in. That is an outing that will likely only help his chances of making the roster. In the bottom of the frame, Luke Williams helped himself by launching a homer to left field, tying the game.
Jake Diekman got three consecutive groundouts in a slightly less impressive outing in the eighth inning, as another bullpen roster candidate.
The Braves were unable to score in the ninth and the game ended in a tie.
