Additionally, Gray TV’s simulcasts will reportedly televise a couple of upcoming spring training games in Spanish, as well.
When it comes to TV coverage of baseball, it’s all about growing the game and making sure that as many eyeballs and ears are focused on and listening to the product. Therefore, it makes all the sense in the world that Fanduel Sports Network has announced today that they will be offering Spanish-speaking telecasts during their coverage of Atlanta Braves games as an option for fans here in 2025 and beyond.
Here’s an excerpt from FanDuel Sports Network’s press release on the matter:
FanDuel Sports Network will provide a Spanish language option for every regionally-televised Atlanta Braves regular season game in 2025 and have hired Francisco X. Rivera as its first Spanish play-by-play announcer.
Starting with Opening Day on March 27, Braves fans will be able to choose Spanish from their second audio program (SAP) options through any cable, satellite or streaming TV provider when tuning in to Braves games on FanDuel Sports Network South or FanDuel Sports Network Southeast.
Additionally, there will be a separate video tile option for Spanish audio feeds on the FanDuel Sports Network app and on FanDuelSportsNetwork.com.
“Braves Country has a diverse and thriving Spanish-speaking community passionate about Los Bravos and our players,” said Atlanta Braves President and CEO Derek Schiller. “As we work with our partners to bring fans closer to the team this season than ever before, this addition will help meet fans where they are and make Braves baseball even more accessible.”
Additionally, Gray Media has announced that they’ll also be offering an option for Spanish-speaking broadcasts as well. While they’ve only announced that they’ll be televising a couple of upcoming spring training games (March 15 vs. the Twins and March 22 vs. the Tigers), I’d have to imagine that it wouldn’t be surprising to see this get extended into their regular season simulcasts as well. Here’s a link to Gray Media’s press release, which contains the local listings so you can check if your media market is involved.
Within the press released, it was announced that Francisco X. Rivera will be the Spanish voice of the Braves on FDSN. Rivera has a ton of experience in covering high-profile games (for instance, you can’t get much bigger than covering the World Series on location) and I’d imagine that he’ll do a very good job calling the action in the booth for this Summer and beyond.
Big news for #BravesCountry!

So, for everybody here who knows Spanish (or you just prefer hearing the sound of Spanish during sporting events — like how a lot of English-speakers in the U.S. enjoy watching soccer on Telemundo regardless of whether they know the language or not), what do you think? Are y’all going to check out some games en Español this season?
