Hey look! Good injury news!
Jurickson Profar escaped major injury from his leap earlier in Spring Training. He seems to be feeling better today per Mark Bowman:
Profar will undergo treatment and limit his on-field activities to things like standing in the box to track live pitches over the next few days. He could be cleared to swing within the next few days. He smiled and said “Very confident” when asked about being ready for Opening Day

Profar will be limited today to standing in the box and watching pitches for the next few days. He should be cleared to swing in the next few days as well. Honestly, he might see better pitches from Spencer Strider on the back fields that he will in an actual game right now.
We will take the good news as we get it. Having an outfielder with a .280/.380/.459 line with 24 HRs and 4.3 WAR start the season rather than not is always good. Jurickson’s scans were clean. He wasn’t expected to miss any time. This is confirmation from what was expected eariler. But still, this is great news for a team bombarded with injuries in 2024. Now, hand me the bubble wrap please.
