Sean Murphy rejoins the lineup with the rest of the regulars.
The Atlanta Braves and their suddenly good offense are looking to continue their success as they take on the Colorado Rockies.
The Braves have won their last three series and since then have scored the fifth most runs in MLB while accumulating the fourth most fWAR among position players. There has seemed to been an infusion offense that has come from shaking up the lineup with both new and returning players like Alex Verdugo and Sean Murphy but also allowing the hot hand to stay in games like Eli White.
It has made it fun again to anticipate what the lineup will be once it drops. The trend has seemed be that Nick Allen is the starter at SS and Eli White has gained the role as a starter as well.
It was announced earlier today that Jarred Kelenic has been optioned and Eddie Rosario has been signed. It comes as a bit of a shock, but not surprising when it looked like Kelenic had lost his starting job to White. It makes at least some sense to have a player at the tail end of their career as an emergency outfielder than a player like Kelenic who can hopefully get some more development with regular at-bats in the minors.
The #Braves today reported RHP Ian Anderson to Atlanta after optioning RHP Davis Daniel to Triple-A Gwinnett following yesterday’s game. The club today also signed OF Eddie Rosario to a major league contract, and optioned OF Jarred Kelenic to the Stripers. To make room on the…

The Braves are going with a ““if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” lineup tonight as they roll out pretty much the same lineup as they have been going with as of late. The main difference is that Sean Murphy is back in the lineup after his day off yesterday.

No Braves has seen Feltner more than five at-bats. Riley, Olson, Albies, and Harris are the only players to face him before and have all had decent success. Riley, Olson, and Albies have all hit a HR against him and Harris has an OPS of 1.167 against him.
The Rockies opted to start two catchers with Jacob Stallings behind the dish with Hunter Goodman being the DH. This makes sense since Goodman has done well in his three at-bats against Elder. He has a .667 average and 1.667 OPS. Goodman has also been the second best hitter on the team thus far with four HRs and an OPS of .807. Jordan Beck is a player to keep an eye on. He has had a great start to the season with a .982 OPS and five HRs.

First pitch is at 8:40 p.m. EDT
