Last week’s signature win over No. 3 North Carolina seems like a distant memory for Georgia Tech head coach Damon Stoudamire after last night’s 80-51 loss to Wake Forest.
Following the loss, which dropped the Yellow Jackets to 10-13 on the season, Stoudamire was asked to give his opening statement at the postgame press conference. After swearing under his breath, all Stoudamire could say was that his team got “whooped.”
“Got that (expletive) whooped,” Stoudamire said with an unamused look on his face.
Fans appreciated Coach Stoudamire’s bluntness, with many considering it relatable:

“Well, at least he was factual in his remarks,” one user remarked.
“that’s all you can say I respect it,” wrote another.
“When everybody yells at me for having 1 kill and 10 deaths at the end of a casual CS2 match,” a third joked.
Stoudamire got his team off to an impressive 8-3 start to the season that featured wins over No. 2 Duke, No. 21 Mississippi State and Penn State.
But things took a turn after losing to Nevada in the Diamond Head Classic Championship Game. The Yellow Jackets have now lost 10 of their last 12 games, slipping near the bottom of the ACC.
Can Stoudamire turn it around this year?
