Here’s how the FTRS staff thinks Tech will do against Duke!
Benjamin Tankersley
Georgia Tech wins 31-24.
I think coming off a bye week, Tech comes out a bit refreshed. This one will still be close, though. Duke sits at 5-0, even if it isn’t the most impressive 5-0. Either way, I think this game sets the tone for the remainder of the schedule, so I hope Tech gets off on the right foot.

Georgia Tech wins 34-21.
I am actually feeling pretty optimistic in this one. Don’t get me wrong I think Duke is a good team and can win this game if they get some turnovers. Still I think the defense should be rested and our offense should be ready to go. Coaches have had time to review tape and draw up game plans. I expect Tech avoid mistakes in this game and to execute to the best of their ability. Duke puts up a good fight but GT pulls away as the game goes on. And if we don’t… well this site will have plenty to talk about next week.
Jack Purdy
Georgia Tech wins 40-30
I am betting on the offense being 1. rested, 2. fully back in sync, 3. FAST. On the flip side, I am not betting on our defense to do the same. Saying we’ll allow 30 points is probably a bit much, but I am not unconvinced Duke can’t put up that number. It would be their season high, but what is Georgia Tech and Atlanta sports if not a place where visitors usually can have career nights (and Kirk Cousins!). We’re finally off the bye, the vibes are good, stadium renovations are coming, let’s put the smack on Duke.
