Here’s how the FTRS staff thinks Tech will do against the Dwags!

UGA wins 28-24.
Brent Key has shown that he has the ability to coach the Yellow Jackets toe-to-toe with Kirby Smart’s dwags. I expect nothing different today. The reason I am picking UGA to win is that I just don’t want to get my hopes up. I’ve done that too much and have been let down. This way, if Tech does win, it’ll be a pleasant surprise.

GT wins 32 – 27
Like against Miami, we know how the script is supposed to go. uga will probably win by 2 scores. So I could repeat what everyone else is saying, but where is the fun in that? The constants for us to win are that the defense needs to get turnovers, we need to control clock with the run game, and Philo can’t be rattled by the environment. In the scenario we win, I think this is a game that starts slow but has Tech go out in front with a few scores as we are able to get the run game going. uga catches up but in their rush to get back on top Carson Beck has some turnovers which Tech takes advantage of. uga makes it close at the end but we are able to run the clock out and win the first CoFH in a while. You can’t be upset at me for hoping for the best for a team that has faced plenty of adversity this year and is better than their record. Go Jackets! THwG!

Georgia wins 32-20
I nailed GT’s point total last week, which I hope to not do again this week given I have predicted a GT loss. I do think we pack a really good punch on Georgia to the point we even might have the halftime lead. I’ve said this a bunch on Scions of the Southland, but there’s no way we don’t have something cooked up for this game. Last year, we provided the template that Alabama used to beat the dwags in the SEC Championship game. This year, we might end up doing the same for Texas or Texas A&M. Whether it’s King or Philo, we have ways to move the ball. King should be more healthy than he was last week, but we’ll find out once we take the field how good he actually feels. I want nothing more than to win this game, but I don’t trust our defense that much to hold Georgia at home.
