We’ve still got some time to kill before the only game that truly matters today. Luckily there’s some reasonably entertaining football to keep us occupied between now and 7:30.
If there’s a theme to the action, it’s desperation. Teams desperate to prove they’re still in the playoff picture. Coaches desperate to prove they have the program headed in the right direction. Auburn fans desperate to get clearance from their probation officer to attend the Oklahoma game. So. Much. Desperation.
- As of the writing of this, Michigan is struggling to pull away from Minnesota on FOX, up 24-17. Following that one Coach Prime and Colorado will travel to Orlando to take on the fighting Gus Malzahns of UCF.
- Kentucky is giving Ole Miss all they want and more on ABC. Playing the transitive property game is always dangerous in college football, but both Clemson and Kentucky have now made Georgia’s wins over them look slightly more impressive than in their immediate aftermath. Oklahoma will travel to take on Auburn on ABC at 3:30.
- Arkansas will travel to Texas A&M at 3:30 on ESPN, looking to build on the momentum gained last week by embarrassing Auburn, an entity which should be beyond embarrassment by now yet clearly is not.
At first I thought they were talking about themselves and was prepared to congratulate Auburn on a refreshing degree of honesty. https://t.co/hhURIyU60Z
