Bowl season is upon us, and the College Football Playoff is mere weeks away. And if you’re going to be watching the games (we know you are), you might as well also be demonstrating to your fellow Dawg Sports readers that you are among the most knowledgeable fans around. But how?
Simple, join us in taking part in the inaugural Dawg Sports Bowl Pick ‘Em.
The rules are so simple a Clemson fan could do it, and probably even explain it in a way an Auburn grad could understand. Just sign up for a free account at Pool Host, then look under the College Football pools for the one named, appropriately enough, Dawg Sports Bowl Pick ‘Em. Select the winners of 17 of the available non-playoff bowls, as well as filling out a CFP bracket. For your bowl picks you’ll need to assign a confidence score from 1-17. The higher your confidence, the greater the available points for a correct pick (no confidence score needed on the playoff games).
Note that you’re not required to pick all the bowl games. We assume you’ve been living and dying with the soap opera that is Georgia Bulldog football and therefore may not have kept up with the UTSA Roadrunners this season. That’s okay, you should still feel free to participate.
Are there prizes? Not at this time. Other than the adoration of your fellow readers and commenters, and the knowledge that you are in fact a certifiable ball knower. Those bragging rights are priceless.
You’ll need to get your bowl picks in before noon on Saturday. Once the bowl season officially opens with the Celebration Bowl between South Carolina State and Jackson State the picks will be closed. Your playoff picks will be due by 8:00 pm eastern on December 20th, so prior to the first playoff game.
In the immortal words of one John “Bluto” Blutarsky, “Go ahead, it don’t cost nothing.” Join us in showcasing your college football knowledge. And….
Go ‘Dawgs!!!
