Tuesday is over. The results are in. Everyone is shocked at the polls. How can Georgia be #2 in the AP but #3 in the CFP?!
The Dawgs will have ample opportunity to impress the committee. For now, let’s look around the league to see who is making headlines, as we do every Wednesday.
Here’s what’s happening around the SEC.
- Altercations between law enforcement and fans are under review from the Cocktail Party last weekend. Luckily no one seems seriously hurt.
- The rumors of Tennessee piping in crowd noise to affect opposing offenses are apparently untrue. Luckily the Dawgs play the Vols in Athens this year so this will be a non-story for that game.
- Hurricane Rafael may come barreling into Mississippi and Louisiana this weekend – no hurricane has ever made landfall in Mississippi in November. This could affect the two huge SEC games being played in Oxford and Baton Rouge. This is a story that is ever changing and worth monitoring, and first and foremost, we hope all who are potentially in the storm’s path remain safe.
- Vanderbilt was left out of the initial CFP rankings. Rank them, you cowards.
GO DAWGS!!!
