No trash was thrown on the field last weekend in the SEC, so we are already doing better than the previous weekend. What else happened (or didn’t) last weekend? I’m glad you asked.
Here’s what’s happening around the SEC.
- Our friends at Good Bull Hunting have a great article on SEC tiebreakers. Texas A&M is the lone unbeaten in SEC play, though four teams, including Georgia, sit behind them with one loss. The tiebreakers scenario at the end of the season could be fascinating.
- Speaking of Texas A&M, coach Mike Elko did not commit to either Marcel Reed or Conner Weigman as the Aggies’ quarterback this weekend or moving forward. After Reed lit up LSU in the second half, it’ll be hard to not give him the first shot against South Carolina.
- LSU quarterback commit Bryce Underwood, who is a five star and ranked as the top ranked prospect by some sites, is being recruited hard by Michigan in an effort to flip him to Ann Arbor. Obviously, playing time is a huge pitch for the Wolverines, and Tigers coach Brian Kelly will be doing all he can to keep Underwood in the Bayou.
- Auburn hosts Vanderbilt this weekend, but more importantly, they will face Diego Pavia once again. Pavia, as some may remember, was New Mexico State’s quarterback last year when the Aggies upset the Tigers. Hugh Freeze has seen enough of Pavia – just ask him.
GO DAWGS!!!
