If your Georgia Bulldogs are returning home to take on an FCS opponent, with no real upside to be gained and all the attendant downside of injuries, missed expectations and fatigue, you could probably use a drink. I can help you with that.
There’s really not a lot of good that can come from playing an FCS opponent if you’re the #1 ranked team in the country. Oh sure, you may be able to get the reserves and freshmen some useful early season reps. But all that is forgotten the instant a starter is carted off the field or Tennessee Tech scores a fluky early touchdown and the super hilarious #upsetwatch tweets start popping up.
So I’m not looking for anything fancy this Saturday. If Carson Beck is still playing midway through the third quarter, that’s bad. If defensive starters are out on the field in the fourth quarter, bad. Keep it simple, keep it moving. Move on to Kentucky and SEC play.
And what’s the simple drink for the game against a team from Tennessee?
The Jack and Coke. It’s the easiest drink in the world to make. Just pour two ounces of ice cold Coca-Cola in a glass, then add two ounces of Jack Daniels Tennessee Whiskey, and finally top with two to three ounces of Coca-cola depending on your drink strength preference.
Here’s hoping we can enjoy this uncomplicated, classic beverage this weekend while watching an uncomplicated Bulldog victory.
Go ‘Dawgs!!!
