Following their win, Georgia was able to get a few days of rest before opening up SEC play on Friday night against Kentucky. Game one of this series had plenty of offensive fireworks from the Dawgs’ bomb squad as Robbie Burnett, Ryland Zaborowski, and Henry Hunter all had home runs to help Georgia earn the 12-6 win.

Game two would also see plenty of offensive fireworks, but this time the Wildcats were able to have a few more, earning the 10-7 win and ending the Dawgs’ 17-game-win streak. Slate Alford had two home runs on the day while Ryland Zaborowski and Henry Hunter added a couple of their own as well.

Georgia concluded their week of play in the rubber match yesterday afternoon on what was a disastrous day for both pitching staffs. Per usual, Georgia’s bats were able to make up for the tough outings on the mound as Henry Hunter crushed two home runs for the Dawgs with Robbie Burnett and Kolby Branch adding a couple of their own to earn the 17-10 win to take the series.
