With literally thousands of athletes to pick from to serve as the cover athlete for the upcoming College Football 25 video game, EA Sports appears to have chosen not one, not two and not even three, but six athletes to feature their name and likeness on the front of the box.
On Friday, an image of the Deluxe Edition of EA Sports’ College Football 25 was revealed. It featured the jerseys and helmets of seemingly dozens of college football teams such as Ohio State, Michigan, Texas, Nebraska, Oregon, Alabama, Georgia, Notre Dame and Kansas State.
But there were only six athletes who had their names and numbers print for all to see:
- Michigan running back Donovan Edwards
- Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers
- Colorado WR/CB Travis Hunter
- Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe
- Georgia quarterback Carson Beck
- Ohio State running back Quinshon Judkins
Edwards was positioned at the very front, back towards the cover, with his finger pointing up. Ewers and Hunter are in front of him to the left and right respectively.
Judkins is in front and to the right of Hunter. Milroe and Beck are in front of Ewers and Hunter respectively.
Those are six players who could all be in Heisman Trophy contention next season but also made noticeable impacts in 2023 as well.
Of course, this isn’t the standard edition cover, so it’s possible that there could be an entirely different set of athletes for that version of the game.
