If you blinked in the first quarter then chances are you missed an Alabama touchdown or two. That’s how quickly the Crimson Tide started running up the score on Georgia in this battle of top five teams.
Alabama scored a touchdown on each of their first four possessions while Georgia couldn’t even get on the board until midway through the second. Georgia quarterback Carson Beck threw two interceptions and took a sack in the endzone for an Alabama safety in the first half and the Crimson Tide took a 30-7 lead into halftime.
Just about the only thing that hasn’t been working against Georgia’s defense has been the trick plays. Alabama tried a number of those in the first half but were snuffed out pretty quickly.
Fans were just shocked by how terrible Georgia looked after how dominant they’ve been all year. Just about everyone is expecting Bulldogs head coach Kirby Smart to tear into his team at some point:
“Kirby Smart’s halftime speech will set a record for the number of f-bombs,” one user wrote on X.
“Alabama is beating up on Georgia so bad it’s become NSFW,” wrote another.
“No excuse to look this bad when you’re consistently bringing in Top 3 recruiting classes. A lack of talent isnt the issue tonight. Just an inexcusable performance from Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs so far,” a third user wrote.
The game is being played on ABC.
