We’re only moments away from kickoff in a rainy Vaught-Hemingway Stadium as Geirgia prepares to take on the #16 ranked Ole Miss Rebels. As usual we’re eyeing the final pregame injury report, which has a mix of good news and bad news:
The good news:
Trevor Etienne. Etienne hasn’t been listed on the injury report all week, so unless Kirby is just wantonly thumbing his nose at the SEC the Bulldogs’ starting tailback should be good to go.
Jordan Hall. The defensive tackle who was on and off the injury report before returning against Texas is also not on the report this week and should be in the lineup.
Smael Mondon. Surprisingly the Bulldogs’ preseason All-SEC linebacker is listed as a game time decision rather than being questionable. Getting the versatile back against this Ole Miss offense couldn’t hurt.
Micah Morris. Offensive guard Morris is also a game time decision after being in and out of the game against Florida and listed as questionable as recently as last night.
The bad news:
Tre Harris. The Rebels’ leading receiver, a legitimate first round NFL draft prospect, has been upgraded to a game time decision, and is listed at the top of the depth chart passed around the press box. He’ll play, and stopping him may be the most important task for the Bulldog defense.
Anthony Evans. For the second week in a row Georgia’s kick and punt return specialist is out with a hamstring injury. I confess to being a little nervous about having someone else handling wet footballs in a hostile road environment in which a special teams gaffe could swing the result one way or the other.
Let’s play some SEC football.
Go ‘Dawgs!!!
