It’s game day!
You’ve likely got snacks to lay out, drinks to pour, and family to say goodbye to. So let’s hit the high points you need to know before settling in for kickoff.
On the injury front, both teams are coming out of camp fairly healthy. It continues to look like Georgia will have Warren Brinson available up front, but not South Carolina transfer Xavier McCloud. Of course, there’s also usually a little gamesmanship going on with these, and it’s possible we’ll see some players who are last minute scratches we don’t know about.
If you’re looking for a national expert who’s picking Clemson to upset the ‘Dawgs in the Benz, you’re going to have to look really, really hard. Jordan Hill of Dawgs247 compiled the picks from all over and found that while some don’t think they’ll cover the double digit point spread, nobody is picking the Red and Black to lose. Maybe it’s the Munson in me, but that makes me just a little nervous.
Normally here I’d throw in the weather for kickoff, but, it’s going to be warm and dry because that’s what it’s like inside the giant terrarium that is Mercedes-Benz Stadium with the roof closed.
