Wake up, ‘Dawgs!
It’s time to rekindle the Deep South’s Oldest Rivalry! Georgia of course leads the series 64-56-8, and today feels like a good day to put some more historical daylight between the Red and Black and the boys from Pat Dye’s School for Kids Who Can’t Read Good and Want to Learn to Do Other Stuff Good Too.
As usual for an SEC home game, there will be a big contingent of visiting recruits on hand today, and Ben Wolk of Dawgs247 has a full list.
The rivalry has been lopsided over the past few years, but this week Kirby Smart went out of his way to impress upon his team just how serious this game is.
David Cobb of CBS Sports has a comprehensive preview of the game, including a prediction that the Bulldogs win and cover the generous 24.5 point spread. I think that’s a little optimistic. I still like the Dawgs to win at home, but expect a little closer game, including a late Auburn touchdown to make things look a little closer than they were.
This thread will be your headquarters for news and discussions up until kickoff at 3:30. Everybody have a great morning, and…
Go ‘Dawgs!!!
