Georgia recruiting staffer Tory Bowles was fired by the school this past Friday.
She’s a survivor of the crash in January that killed Georgia football player Devin Willock and staffer Chandler LeCroy and this firing comes after she fired a lawsuit against the school last month.
In the lawsuit, she blames Georgia Athletics for letting LeCroy drive the vehicle even though he didn’t have a good driving history. She also didn’t like how she was expendable to the school.
“Tory, like all other perceived liabilities to the football program, became expendable to UGA, and despite her loyalty and meager salary, has been steamrolled. The Association’s public statement issued in response to Tory’s lawsuit, that it ‘patiently supported Ms. Bowles during her long and difficult recovery,’ was obviously self-serving and disingenuous,” a statement from her lawyers read, via Saturday Down South.
Georgie ended up denying this statement, saying that Bowles was fired for not cooperating with the investigation.
