All eyes are on Georgia quarterback Gunner Stockton this Thursday in the Sugar Bowl, and rightfully so. The redshirt sophomore is making his first start for the Bulldogs in a crucial moment.
Stockton has replaced Carson Beck, who suffered a season-ending elbow injury in the SEC Championship Game. Speaking of the team’s conference title game, he completed 12-of-16 passes for 71 yards with an interception in relief duty. Kirby Smart is hoping to get a much better performance from his inexperienced quarterback this afternoon in the Caesars Superdome.
Though it’s still early in the Sugar Bowl, it appears Gunner Stockton isn’t the only member of his family making headlines this Thursday. His sister, Georgia Stockton, is turning heads on social media.
Georgia was a college athlete just like her brother. However, she played basketball at Presbyterian College, averaging 12.1 minutes per game during her final season. Prior to joining Presbyterian’s program, she dominated her competition at the high school level named. She averaged 21.1 points, 5.7 rebounds, 2.5 steals and 2.1 assists per game en route to earning Region Player of the Year honors.

Georgia revealed on her Instagram Story that she’s at the Superdome to watch her brother’s first career start. She’d love nothing more than to see him lead the Bulldogs to a playoff win.
So far, Stockton has looked pretty good against Notre Dame. He’ll need to make a few impact players down the stretch if he wants to keep Georgia’s season alive though.
The Sugar Bowl is currently being televised on ESPN. We’ll see if the cameras find Stockton’s family members at any point during the second half.
