Everyone loves a franchise quarterback. But at some point you’ve got to have somebody for that guy to throw the ball to, and maybe a couple of guys who can block for him.
Brock Bowers is that guy. Now he’s that guy, but in Sin City.
The Napa Nightmare was selected #13 overall by the Las Vegas Raiders in the first round of tonight’s draft, becoming the first Bulldog off the board. The Raiders are headed into a full rebuild of an offense that was a liability in 2023. With the elite quarterbacks all gone it seems they’ve decided to roll with Aiden O’Connell and surround him with more weapons. With Davante Adams, Jakobi Meyers, Tre Tucker, and tight end Michael Mayer the Raiders weren’t really hurting for pass catchers. And they might have been better served to bring in an immediate OL starter. But for Big Bad Brock’s sake I’m glad they didn’t.
Go ‘Dawgs!!!
