It’s Monday. All day.
I can’t make the calendar move faster, but I can send you out into the world with enough Dawg news and notes to get you through the day.
Georgia dropped to #2 in the AP Poll, though the Red and Black remained atop the Coaches’ Poll. I prefer to think this is just part of Kirby’s master plan to motivate his team as they begin preparations for Alabama.
Athlon spotlighted Georgia as one of the three most overrated teams in the new rankings, which is just, you know, their opinion man. I would say that Georgia’s a better team than they showed on Saturday, but even I have to admit that the tape is the tape.
One thing that would have been very helpful is if Georgia had been a little more healthy, and hadn’t continued to suffer injuries as the game progressed. While Trevor Etienne and Oscar Delp were both able to return after going down, and we still don’t have a confirmed diagnosis, this picture of starting guard Tate Ratledge certainly doesn’t look promising.

On the bright side, Micah Morris played well in relief. But the other side of the line remains a mess. The single best thing that could happen for Georgia would be to have a healthy Warren Brinson, Jordan Hall, and Mykel Williams. An off week can’t hurt that cause, right?
Go ‘Dawgs!!!
