Jackson McVey — a three star center out of Overtime Elite — has committed to Georgia, he announced on Tuesday.
McVey — the 7-foot-1, 225-pound big man — chose Georgia over Florida, Florida State, Georgia Tech and Stanford. He’ll play for Overtime Elite’s RWE squad for his senior season.
“I really love their playstyle,” McVey told 247Sports. “Mike White, he showed me they’re adopting a two-bigs playstyle and I think with Asa Newell this year, their play is becoming more versatile this year and I think that’s going to benefit my game. Simply put, they showed me they wanted me the most [love], they’re close to home and they have a playstyle that benefits me. Right now, they don’t have a 7-footer on their roster and that was a need to them and they expressed that to me. For all of those reasons, it was a no-brainer to me.”
One of McVey’s eye catching performances this summer came at the GBCA Team Camp. There, he averaged 22.8 points per game across four contests with Georgia watching.

The big man becomes Georgia’s third commit in the 2025 class, joining two four-star forwards in Jacob Wilkins and Kareem Stagg.
