College football has arrived. You want to watch it. We want to make that easier.
So we’re pleased to present your week zero college football television schedule. Normally this would of course be in the form of the often imitated, never duplicated Watch Grid (TM). However RedCrake is currently on tour opening for K Pop superstars Blackpink, so this handy rundown will have to work for now.
It’s a limited schedule, but it is college football. So we’re not complaining. Plus, there’s the chance for schadenfreude of a truly intercontinental nature.
As usual all listed times are Athens Standard Time. Consult your streaming service or cable listings to verify my research.

The Main Thing
The action kicks off at noon Saturday on ESPN when Florida State and Georgia Tech kick off live from Dublin, Ireland. The Seminoles are looking to prove that 2023 was no fluke. The Jackets are looking to prove that, well, 1991 to 2023 was one. I suspect the only thing more annoying than Tech fans would be Tech fans who are jet lagged and full of Guinness pints. This one’s going to end in disappointment for the world’s dorkiest gang of football hooligans.
Elsewhere
* McNeese State at Tarleton State (3:30 pm, ESPNU)
I have nothing particularly interesting to say about this game.
* Montana State at New Mexico (4:00 pm, FS1)
Beautiful scenery. Passably entertaining football. That is the New Mexico football value proposition.
* North Alabama vs. Southeast Missouri State (7:00 pm, ESPN)
Sorry, I blew my incisive analysis budget for the week on the McNeese/Tarleton State game.
* Florida A&M vs. Norfolk State (7:00 pm, ABC)
I’m sure there’ll be some entertaining football during this neutral site showdown in Atlanta. But don’t dare turn away at halftime or you’ll miss the A&M Marching 100 and the NSU Spartan Legion bands, both of whom are among the most entertaining collegiate bands in America.
* SMU at Nevada (8:00, CBSSN)
To paraphrase Lewis Grizzard, SMU is in the ACC and I don’t feel so good myself.
* Delaware State at Hawaii (11:59 pm, Spectrum Sports PPV or dodgy streaming feed we definitely aren’t recommending you utilize)
Can you really call yourself a college football fan if you aren’t sitting in front of a computer screen in the middle of the night watching Hawaii football while eating leftover Chinese food of an uncertain vintage from the back of the fridge? No. No you cannot.
We’ll be back next week with the Week One schedule. Bigger. Better. Later. Until then….
