Michigan Makes Push for Underwood
It’s no secret that the Wolverines are in dire need of a game-changing quarterback, and it looks like they’re going to spend a lot of money to make it happen. Bryce Underwood happens to be that game-changing quarterback Michigan needs. Underwood is the current number one quarterback recruit in the nation and is currently committed to the LSU Tigers. With the Tigers season wavering, talks are beginning to swirl that Underwood’s commitment might waver as well. According to On3’s Pete Nakos, Michigan has offered “a competitive NIL package on par with what LSU has presented.” Nakos also reported the expected NIL value for Underwood through 3-4 years is $5 million. Back in September, Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy said he would be willing to contribute $3 million for his alma mater to land a top quarterback. With many deep pockets hanging out around Ann Arbor, the Wolverines will more than likely land a top-caliber quarterback whether it is Underwood or not.
That’s all I got for this Thursday’s edition of ‘Dawg Bites. As always, Go Dawgs!
