Good Thursday morning Dawg fans, hope you are all having a solid week. We are now just a couple of days away from the Dawgs’ most crucial game of the year against the Tennesee Vols. Georgia has spent all week addressing distractions it seems, as all eyes are on the Dawgs to see if they will prevail or fail to end their regular season. With that being said, let’s get into some top headlines surrounding the Dawgs and the rest of the College football world this morning.
Smart addresses “Idiot” comment
Kirby Smart took the time yesterday to apologize for comments he made on Monday regarding UGA player Jake Pope. Smart made headlines for calling Pope an ‘idiot’ for celebrating with a friend following UGA’s loss to Ole Miss. Smart realized he may have dropped the hammer a little too hard on Pope as he stated “I’ll say I should not have called the kid an idiot. That was a mistake by me.” Now that the situation is in the rearview, the Dawgs are now in full swing this week before their must-win game against the Vols.

Deion is ready to step in if the wrong team takes Shedeur
With the NFL draft a little over five months away, scouts are currently in the process of putting together their draft boards to find their next franchise player. At the top of a lot of those draft boards are Colorado’s Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter. Considering both guys will be top-ten picks, there’s a good chance they go to a struggling franchise, especially Shedeur. But it looks like Coach Deion Sanders will look to make sure his son goes to the right situation. During an appearance on FS1’s “Speak,” Sanders was asked if he would stop the wrong team from drafting Shedeur. Sanders answered, “Yeah, but I’m not going to do it publicly, I’ll do it privately.”
