Welcome to Tuesday, Bulldog fans! If you’ve made it this far, you must have your liver enzymes in check and that is always a Bulldog Point of Pride. Congratulations – you’ve made it to Bye Week! Let’s dive right in:
The image of Tate Ratledge carted off Saturday night wasn’t good. Street clothes paired with a walking boot and crutches was more disconcerting. That might be the next time you see the Darlington School Drape, as Ratledge is sidelined for the foreseeable future. Get healthy young man, we’re going to need you for the stretch run.
There’s no Kirby Smart press conference scheduled for the bye, so any other injuries are really just guesses at this point. We can only hope holding out Mykel Williams, Jordan Hall, Warren Brinson, and Xavier McLeod will provide dividends. And it didn’t look like fellow front 4 Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins was seriously hurt, but just nicked up. That’s a lot of healing up for the big fellas in the trenches, and they will be worth their weight in Alabama sauce come September 28.
Last week I quibbled with the position group grades handed out by the intrepid reports at the Red & Black. And I might again. But at least this time they didn’t hold back. The quote “The only reason this grade is not an F is because Georgia squeaked out the win.” should prep you for the quick read.
This is the spot where the old-timers might joke about EFAA syndrome (emerging from an alley). After the Daniel Harris incident last week, it is no joking manner. I’d much rather the college football spotlight turn to other cities, like Gainesville, and the special Board of Trustees meeting called for early Sunday morning.

I mean, how hard could it be?
Speaking of Gainesville, there’s this little nugget from 1982, apropos of nothing else whatsoever.
Enjoy your Tuesday, everyone. Unlike that pokey little motoring show on BBC2, we will be back with more Bulldog news and notes. And with that bombshell, as always…
GO ‘DAWGS!!!
