The Atlanta Falcons ended their season with a 44-38 overtime loss to the Carolina Panthers in Week 18. Not only did the team miss the playoffs for a seventh consecutive year, but wide receiver Drake London got fined for another touchdown celebration.
According to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, the league has fined London $11,255 for taunting the defender following his touchdown reception at the end of the first half. Watch the play and judge for yourself below.

London ended the season with one of the best games of his career, finishing with 10 catches for 187 receiving yards and two touchdowns. That performance helped the third-year wideout finish fourth in the NFL in receiving yards (1,271).
Running back Bijan Robinson was also fined for unnecessary roughness in the team’s Week 18 loss to the Panthers. Robinson’s fine was nearly double London’s at a reported $22,500.
The Falcons fired defensive coordinator Jimmy Lake on Saturday afternoon in a move that wasn’t entirely shocking after Raheem Morris’ recent comments.
The offense showed a ton of promise with Michael Penix Jr. at quarterback but the defense struggled to stop Jayden Daniels and Bryce Young in the final two weeks.
Falcons defensive line coach Jay Rodgers was also relieved of his duties on Saturday. That leaves two coaching vacancies for the team to fill in the coming weeks.
