The 2024 NFL draft featured a record six quarterbacks selected in the first 12 picks. While the Atlanta Falcons’ decision to draft Michael Penix Jr. was heavily criticized at the time, the pick looks better after Kirk Cousins’ sudden decline.
Penix made his first start in Week 17, leading the Falcons to a 34-7 win over the New York Giants. In his second start, Penix will face off against Commanders rookie Jayden Daniels on “Sunday Night Football.” Daniels has been arguably the best of the bunch thus far, but the jury is still out on this year’s draft class.
